The International Civil Engineering Risk and Reliability Association (CERRA) has been formed for the purpose of promoting
the education, research and practice of risk and reliability analysis in civil engineering. The
principal activity of CERRA is the sponsoring and overseeing of the organization of the International Conferences on
Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering (ICASP). These conferences are held once every four years
and bring together engineers, scientists, educators, researchers, students and practitioners for a better understanding and
management of uncertainty and risk in all aspects of civil engineering. At each conference, CERRA recognizes and honors an individual
for contributions to the development of risk and reliability methods in civil engineering by awarding the CERRA Award.
When possible, CERRA provides modest funds to support the attendance of students in ICASP conferences.
